Research Residency at Critical Path Choreographic Centre for Research, The Drill December 9-13 2019.
AL is currently researching her Swedish cultural heritage looking into her father's family's practice of performing traditional folk dance and music from their village, Färila. In conversation with this, AL is also researching her Mexican heritage on her mothers side - looking at the pre-hispanic and post-colonial practices that she was brought up with.
Identity, nostalgia and politics play part in this choreographic research.
